- I once bought a Conner 1060s 1Gb disk which was impossible to use on
- an Amiga. On a PC it was fine. A message in c.s.scsi.peripherals made
- me aware of the fact that the disk didn't work on Unix-boxes either.
-
- I got in touch with Conner Europe, who promptly sent me a new
- rom-image (this disk was flashrom-upgradeable). Once the new code was
- transferred to the disk, it worked great.
-
- Now, what you should take notice of here, is what I said about it
- working fine on a PC, but not on Amiga. The Amiga (and Unix) OS use
- the SCSI-standard to it's fullest, whereas a PC is more 'simple' in
- it's diskaccess.
-
- In conclusion - check what version of the firmware is installed on the
- disks. If they're different, then a firmware upgrade is very lightly
- to solve your trouble.
